Phrasal Verbs

Phrasal verbs are formed by a VERB + ANOTHER ELEMENT (adverb, preposition). See some examples:
Example: Can you look after my sister while I take a bath?
Example: We can’t go on working like this. We are exhausted.
Example: I need to take off my shoes before entering the house.
Example: The plane will take off in 30 minutes.

Example: Can you turn on the TV, please?
Example: I don't know how you put up with your noisy neighbors.
Example: I get along well with my new co-worker.
Example: My car broke down on my way to work.

Example: Unfortunately we will need to call off the party.
Example: I give up, I can't solve this math problem.
Example: I need to turn off the light before leaving the office.
